Girls Fly! Financial Course
Promoting Financial Literacy &
Ending Generational Scarcity
THIS COURSE IS PERFECT FOR…
The ideal participants of this course are high school and college-age females who come from families who have struggled with generational economic adversity. Our mission with this course is to empower young women to achieve their dreams and become the leaders of tomorrow by providing a strong foundation of financial literacy.
You can help us achieve our mission if you are…
-
A Parent/Guardian of a Student (Age 15+)
Especially those whose first language is something other than English. And those who want to encourage their children to be financially stable, have a healthy mindset toward money, and stop cycles of generational scarcity.
-
An Academic Administrator or School Counselor
This course can be a powerful resource for academic administrators and academic guidance counselors to help college students navigate student loan debt and graduate debt-free.
-
An Educator (at District or State Level)
Those who may teach economic courses but want to provide students with extra-curricular financial literacy tools. This course can also be recommended to student-parents whose children are about to graduate.
COURSE PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN…
1.
How to Identify and Address Fears Associated with Money (and with Life)
This course addresses concepts such as:
– The mindsets and perspectives young people often have around money
– How they can be led by money vs. lead with money
– How they can be influenced by society vs. be an influencer on society
2.
How to Prepare for and Manage Real-Life Expenses
How do I pay for a car? Housing? College? How do I build credit while avoiding the pitfalls of debt? How do I build a relationship with a bank? Or plan for my future?
These are all fundamental questions that, sadly, young people are often left to figure out on their own. This course addresses all of these and more!
3.
How to Become Confident Leaders, Even Beyond Finances
This course also includes general learning modules around leadership, influence, health, communication, mindset, and more. By the end, our goal is for participants to be well-rounded, aspiring leaders who can confidently navigate society, succeed financially, and achieve their dreams.
